Level Creator/Mod Maker "set IN POINT" trimming issue
D
The "set in point" button trims the beginning of perfectly looped gifs. I believe this is an error since previous versions of Beat Banger allowed you to set a start point, which would only start the gif/video from the point specified, without trimming the gif/video.
I have attached a video file. In the first part, I'm using an older version of Beat Banger. I import a perfectly looped gif, and click "SET START". The file loops perfectly; the only change is what frame the gif/video starts from.
In the second part of the video, I'm using the most recent Patreon Branch version I downloaded from the itch.io website. I import the same gif, click "set IN POINT" and the beginning of the loop is cut from the original file. When importing the loop into the level editor, the cut version of the gif/video is what is imported.
This is a problem because I want a frame/action in the gif to sync with the impact of hitting a note, without the animation being chopped in half. The loop should be fluid like shown in the first part, but instead it looks like the character teleports.
I downloaded the Patreon Branch Version 26w04 from the itch.io website. I use Windows 11 on PC.

As I noticed in the second part of the video, the animation ends with the character “standing” rather than “sitting,” which is why the animation loop looks the way it does. I recommend manually adjusting the animation loops in some editing software, e.g., Shotcut (which I use), or another program for trimming/editing videos, and only then uploading the file to the level editor.
I don't use the “set in point” setting because it's unnecessary for me since I upload already trimmed animations that create a perfect loop.

Jakub (Jαcσв) I know you can edit the animations in an outside source, but this wasn't a problem in previous builds of Beat Banger, which allowed you to edit the animation loops perfectly in the mod maker itself. I'm not sure this downgrade was intentional.
