Include a calibration tool that allows you to tap to a beat that's playing in order to calibrate audio/input latency. As there is also a visual aspect when it comes to seeing oncoming notes, maybe also add some way to calibrate visual cue latency as well. Examples of such calibration tools can be found in other rhythm games, I would recommend Metal: Hellsinger as a prime example of audio/visual calibration.
This could improve an advanced player's ability to accurately hit notes. It would also provide enhanced accessibility for people playing over something like Steam Link where there is non-negligible network latency, or people with wireless headsets that have wireless latency.
